I made some adjustments to my drain and return lines and am now wondering if this setup will work sufficiently with my "too big for system" mag 9.5?

comments and input is greatly appreciated!

actually the overflow will only pull what the return pump is rated for so if your overflow is rated at 900 gal and your return pump is rated at 400 gph then that's all the overflow will pull.

The mag 9.5 will put out way more than the 700gph overflow can send it.I have a 1000gph overflow with a mag 9.5 with 2.5ft of head pressure and it worked out perfect. I put a tee with a ball valve and ran it right back to the return area in the sump, that way if the pump is putting out too much you can run some back to itself without restricting the pump but luckily I didn't have to use it. I ordered a swing check valve and will be putting it in the return to stop flow back to the sump when the power goes out or I turn it off. I didn't like all the bubbles in the dt tank when the power was off and it drained down past the loc line and then started back up. I'm gonna try it and see if it works, might wanna check it out, I only gave like 12 bucks for it.

I know it seems like a lot :eek::eek:! But add 4 ft of head pressure and the 3/4" SCWD... with a ball valve after the pump. Plus, I am a firm believer in over-building.
