This is the exact tank I'v been eyeballin' for about a month now. Iwnat to setup a second, smaller tank, and I keep gravitating to that 12 gallon long.

Nice bud! I love the look of that tank.
If you end up getting pukani rock just keep in mind a little goes along way. Its very light for the size of the rocks you get.

That tank looks so slick!! Love it how it sits against that background. Have you seen the tank - I believe his name is professochaos? That tank is slightly smaller but how he has scaped it and such is so cool.

Congrats! Can't wait to see it filled and stocked!!

Hey finally found your build thread. I ordered 8 lbs pukani and 8 pounds of reef saver dry rock from BRS when I set up mine. That way I had some to choose from and to be honest the pukani is almost too big for the tank and tends to block some flow the way I have it scaped.

One more suggestion would be a lid or screen top, fish seem to want to explore the floor from this tank.

Any decisions yet on your overflow?

Have you looked at all into the inovative marine line of skimmers for their new small aquariums. I have the smaller one on my 12long and have absolutely no complaints.

I'll be tagging along this thread, I'm excited to see how this thing turns out and you may just inspire me to change some things in my setup.

I definitely LOVE the shape of it.

Thanks bro. I like the look of pukani the best, 10 lbs should go along way then probably?

Thanks! I just remodeled the living room and painted that accent wall black, I love the way it looks. You have a link to that thread?

My thoughts exactly. :) Only shallow from here on out.

I also like the look of BRS Tonga Branch and Fiji dry live rock. Never ordered from there though.

I will check out those skimmers. I should be able to use a hacksaw and cut the pukani if it's too big and just put the flat spot towards the back of the tank. I believe the guy from BRS cuts it on youtube. Do you have all 16lbs of rock in yours? I'm going to do some prototyping for the overflow soon.

    Here ya go

You just click the hyperlink button. It's the button with the earth on it. You put the url in the first set of brackets. Then you type in what you want the hyperlink to say in the second set of brackets. HTH :)
