Any of you guys interested in buying my led fixture? I just do not have the time to maintain a coral tank. I think I am going to go fowlr or freshwater with this setup, but either way, the light needs to go to someone who will use it better.

What's up dude? Sorry to hear your going back to fowlr or fresh but I've been there so I know what ya mean.
I would love that fixture but don't have the cash now for it. Hopefully whoever gets it will appreciate the effort you put into it.

Sorry to hear that. How much were you thinking of selling the fixture for?

Been crazy hectic in my life lately. Now that its summer I've been out and about a lot, no time it seems for tank maintence. I would love to see the fixture go to u, but I know how cash flow can be at times. Kinda why I wanna sell it too lol.

Well, after some progress with the tank, I've decided to keep the light and keep the tank saltwater. Now I need some advice on what steps to take next to get this tank looking the way it should.

Here is a current pic taken today. This is 1000% better than it looked for the past 4 or 5 months, when you could hardly see the rocks through the front glass.

To get it to this point, I did a 3 day blackout, put my skimmer back in, and put on a HOT magnum 250 with the polisher filter in it. Over a 2 week period, it went from being so green you couldnt see the rocks, to this that you see now.

Now, I have had water clarity problems with this tank from day one. I have NEVER been able to get the water 100% clear in this tank. As you can tell from the pic, it has a white haze to it. It actually looks better in person, the pic makes it look alot worse than it really is.

Right now, the tank has a skimmer, purigen, and a fuge with chaeto. The CUC has diminished, and needs replaced, and the flow isnt what it should be. Both of which I will be fixing. But what else would you guys recommend that I do to try and acheive 100% clear water?

I'm glad to see that you are still in the hobby :) The tank is looking great.

As far as water clarity goes, you should definitely add some carbon.

Are you planning on adding corals?

Thanks for the support. Although it doesn't look "great" in my mind. I lost the corals I had except for a blue mushroom. Will prolly add some more once I get it straightened out.

Not much bro, been super busy all summer. Rekindled my love for the tank recently, ya know, once I could see in it again lol.

I've never used ro/di before. Yeah yeah I know, but I ran 2 other tanks succesfully with my conditioned tap water, and they looked like high def, with zero water clarity issues. I haven't tried a 100% water change but you actually read my mind. I've been thinking about it lately, but I need to go pickup more salt.

Oh ya, and I used to run a TON of carbon to try and clear it up and it literally did absolutely nothing. I kind of think carbon is a waste of time. I remember reading where after a few days its soaked up all it can take and its just useless after that.
