Finally made my cheap Odyssea skimmer run quiet! If anyone has a noisy air intake on their skimmer, this might help. It made mine totally quiet. Drill a hole big enough for the air line in the cap of a pill bottle. Stick airline through, put cap on bottle. Easy as that. The bottles are vented through the lid so it still allows the skimmer to intake air.

Wow, didn't know i had any fans lol. Do u have a build thread grim? I'm on my phone so I'm not gonna look at the moment. You will be happy with the bean. Mine has been running for a couple years and I've never had one problem with it.

You did a clean job with it and have the exact same tank that I'm building so it was perfect to use when showing the glass shop.

My build is the Azoox thread. - http://www.3reef.com/forums/show-off-your-fish-tanks/grims-azoox-build-139079.html

It's been a very very slow build. I've been working on gathering the pieces while I sell my house and move. After I move I'll start to actually put it all together.

Well it's been about 5 days since I switched to RO/DI topoff water, and about 3 full days since I put the GFO reactor online. I'm pretty excited, it's already putting a HUGE dent in my cyano algae. It's all starting to turn white and thin out already! I want to siphon it all out, but I'm out of salt for mixing up some new water, have to pick some up tomorrow or friday. I'm really happy that its working this fast. Hard to tell but here is a pic ;D

Thats really awesome. I had the same cyano trouble and it was consuming my tank and getting me really, really down.

I got an RODI unit and GFO now its non-existant. And I have also added NPX biopellets as well.
