That's great to hear! I know all about being down....I've been away from the forum for about a year because of all the tank problems I had. I'm not very far away from having everything dialed in now though. Feels good. I'm also planning on biopellets. I plan on modding my reactor after I run out of this batch of GFO and going to biopellets.

Thanks alot man. I'm glad I'm back. I can't wait to start going crazy with coral stocking.

Went by an LFS on my way home from work today that I never go to. Mission was to get some salt. Well I ended up with this piece as well. They are already open and looking better than they did at the store under their crappy t5's. Guess my tank must be doing better, considering I had one of these before and it melted away. Getting me even more excited!

I love hairy mushrooms. I wish I could find one with some really intense color - I believe it's Cosmo that has an awesome colored one.

Isn't it funny how we go to the LFS for something small and always end up leaving with something else :)

Well I got fed up with the lack of flow in my tank. I've got a crappy ebay 700gph ph and a cheapo maxijet knock off that does like 250 gph. So I ordered two brand new Koralia evo 1150s. That should do the trick.

This morning I woke up to a horrible smell. A burning smoking smell in the entire house. An ebay powerhead that has been running for over 2 years was melting down inside of my tank, arcing under the water. It released all kinds of nasty stuff into the tank. I lost my shrimp, a damsel, and a clown fish. I threw in a ton of carbon before I went to work this morning to try and absorb what I could. But I'm afraid that this is causing an entire crash at this point. Going to try and salvage what I can and put it in a 10 gallon and start over with the 65 when I get back from vacation. Will definitely be installing a GFCI outlet since the breaker didn't trip. Kind of scary.

Wow, indeed that is scary. Sorry to hear you already had some losses from it :( Glad you didn't stick your hand in the tank while all of this is going on. That would not have been fun. Just curious, do you have a ground probe?
