I have a small green spotted puffer. He was brackish adapted to reef parameters. He's got a great personality. He is very curious and friendly. He smiles. And the only thing that he puffs up is his giant belly when he eats. Everything is great, except one thing...he doesn't seem to ever sleep except for the occasional mini naps. No matter what time it is day or night he's always swimming. In the mornings before work...he's swimming. When I get home...he's swimming. It will be my day off work and all day long he's swimming. It will be the middle of the night, pure dark except for the dual moon glow LEDs and there he is swimming. He seems alright, but has anyone else had this experience?

I'm just wondering if this is normal or if later on his insomnia will make him snap and one day I'll find my corals missing and my puffer laying in fetal position in the corner of the tank.

Just to be sure, turn off the moon lights for a few days and see if "cops a nod".

LOL So you don't think he likes the mood lighting? Well I will try it. There's no harm to it. And if I get a healthy rested puffer out of it all the better!
