So, as the title states, I'm wanting to add some fish into my tank. I am in no hurry, and I only have ideas of what I want and I want to bring them out here and look for opinions/suggestions.
I know this is one of those highly debated topics. I'm just wanting to get the ball rolling on the decisions.

    60G DT, 48"L x 12"D x 24"T

    current inhabitants:
    Purple Pseudo
    Tomini Tang

    Wish list:
Pair of clowns, (Ocellaris, maybe some sort of onyx snowflake or something crazy)
    Flame Hawkfish
(small) fairy or flasher wrasse. (I need to research this more)
    starry blenny

What does the experts here think of this? Too much? different suggestions?
I'm obviously not going to add them all at once or even for a while. I just want to get this thread rocking and rolling before I even have the money to spend on new fish! haha!

    Thank you!

well Zesty, others will probably disagree with me but I think your list is doable. Have you looked at the Wyoming whites or platinum clowns? I know if I was going to get clowns, I would go for one of those - they are so cute :) the prices have come down somewhat on them it seems although they still are pricey so I'd have to get over that hump myself in terms of purchase. I'm still waiting on getting a flame hawk from my LFS - love hawkfish and the flame has such a cool face.

so here's a bump for you to keep rockin' and rollin' hahaha! :)

Our LFS is getting in some Yellow Hawkfish and I wish I could afford one. Soooo cool.

thank you for the help, I have not checked out the wyoming whites, I will take a look.

I'm all for suggestions and opinions. I know this can be a very debatable topic and I'll probably change my mind a few times. However, I need to start somewhere and I don't want to start by standing in the LFS going, "oh that's awesome!" haha!

    Thanks

Sanjay's photon clowns are really cool IMO. I think your list is doable, though that tang might need to be rehomed eventually.

I think I know a DT locally to rehome that Tang- when necessary!

The list looks doable to me too

I thought so too, just too pricey for me. oh well

you got it Todd, I got him young, so as long as he doesn't grow like my daughter, it will be a while. But your tank would be the one I would pick.

Those clowns are some of the coolest I've seen.

Well, as luck would have it, I was at a LFS and snagged a small McCoster's Flasher wrasse yesterday. What an awesome fish.

So, here's a video of my Tomini Tang swimming in my tank. I still think he's a small guy. He can navigate the rocks and find hiding places. I don't see any signs of stress, he eats fine and is very active.

This being my first tang, I went for one of the smaller ones I could find. I am curious what to look out for when a tang gets too big for a tank? Anyone care to chime in? I know and accept that someday he will be too big. I will either get a bigger tank or donate him to a larger tank.

Thanks for looking! And you will notice at around 33 seconds my cell phone decided to change the coloration of the video! haha!
(Don't forget to put it in HD!)

oh and BTW, I am not a fan of my scape... rock wall, boooooooo
