Installing 250W IceCap Electronic MH Ballast w/Sunlight Supply Reef Optix 3 Reflector

    I thought this would be helpful to have a thread here just in case...i know this is noob stuff but i think it will help someone..so here it is

    Installing Instructions for

    Connecting 250W IceCap Electronic Metal Halide Ballasts to 250W Sunlight Supply Reef Optix 3 Plus HQ Reflectors w/14000k Ushio Bulbs

    here is what i got in the mail

    Step 1: Get some scissors and some wire connectors from store

    Step 2: Cut the output end on the ballast plug like so and seperate the wires and strip them to expose the copper wires inside

    Step 3:Connect the matching color wires from the ballast output to the ones on the reflector adaptor.(they are "ususally" the same color)

    Step 4:Twist them together and slip on the plastic wire connectors and twist some more untill they are tight.

    Step 5:Use some electrical tape and secure the wire connectors/wire nuts (not shown here)

    Step 6:Connect and Test the lights

    Step 7 is the most important step so don't skip it.

    Step 7:Look at the lights and say "oh, hell yea" :eek:(curse words may be used briefly)

    Good instructions but you should use electrical tape to cover those wire nuts/wire
