installing bulkheads....

    ok so am hopeing to get my 130 tank set this weekend and am wondering if it wouldn't be a bad idea to put a small amount of silcon around the gasket to help seal it... any thoughts?? thanks guys;D

    no. you don't want to use silicon. You want the rubber flush against the glass. Make sure you even use alcohol or like novus 1 or something to get it as clean and prefect as possible. once you get the bulkhead installed you can silicon around it if your still worried about it. some places like gl*******s recommend this lube they have, but I've never tried it.
