I have been looking into trying a new food for a while. I came across Instant ocean foods on this site, found that one of my LFS's sells them and thought I would give them a try. I've been trying to get my fish to graze a little more and eat a few meals a day, instead of one big one. So, here is my review of...Product Catalog

When you first open the package you will notice 3 single servings a little bigger than a half dollar (that do not need to be refrigerated). The servings are gell and filled with shredded seaweed (I chose the herbivore, they also carry an onmivore).

I guess the first part of this type of feeding is placement of the servings. Most fish forage on your live rock, so it only seemed natural to place it on a rock. So I found a nice ledge and sort of wedged it their. I was able to come home for lunch to today and I got to watch my tank for about a half and hour. I noticed my fish were behaving the same as usual, but ever so often would head for the food and few nibbles. The food held together well, did not break apart all over the tank and stayed where I put it. I will however say that it took my fish a while to find the food but when they did, they kept comming back.

To sum up, I really like this food. I def. like the way my Rabbit and Tomini graze. This product really promotes a more natural feeding and I will keep on buying.

That is sweet. Gives the fish something to snack on if our tanks aren't that mature yet and don't have algae. Also I like how we can stick it in the tank amongst the rockwork and its unnoticeable unlike those clips for the seaweed.

Checked tank a few minutes ago. The food is still intacted on it's rock. Their is about a quarter to half of it gone and it seems to be holding up well. I would def. not consider this a primary means of feeding, but will be using this a little more often along with my other foods. This has also got me wanting to try the other Instant Ocean foods.
