Interesting Interactions?

Hey 3reef,

Just thought I'd share my Bicolor Blenny's odd propensity to adopt shells as his "home." I recently purchased a Bicolor which absolutely loves to back his butt into an abandoned astrea shell and peek his head out. It's pretty funny (I'll try for some pics soon).

Anyone else have stories/experiences where a fish/invert exhibited some odd behavoir with regard to housing?

 

the other day I watched my lion get a hold of a hermit crab and spit it right out . . . does that count?

For a while my yellow tail damsel shared a hole with 2 (paired) watchman gobies and a pistol shrimp.

 

My clarkii clown wont allow any snails to get on his anemone's rock. I saw him push a huge turbo grazer off the rock. Just butts his head into it and swims as hard as he can.

My snowflake eel and scribbled rabbit fish seem to have a friendship going on too. They like to rub on each other.

 

Only odd thing in the tank so far is that my algae blenny will sit on my little patch of GHA but won't eat it
