    Hey y'all,

My name is Bonny and I am a newby. I took the easy route with a Red Sea Max 250. So far, so good. I have 85 lb. live rock w/Red Sea brand Sea Base. Currently have a mated pair of black onyx true percs, one fire shrimp, 40 assorted hermit crabs and two zoanthids. Have so many hermits because my aquariunm is infestated with GHA. Any suggestions for getting rid of this pest?

Recently ordered some copepods to get tank ready for mandarins. Not sure how long it will take to grow adequate food supply. Waiting to hear back from supplier.

I have a hundred questions and would greatly appreciate some help to educate myself on keeping a healthly reef aquarium.

    Thank you one and all.

I don't think that tank is big enough to support a pod population for mandarins.
You can raise pods separately in a bucket or another tank though.

    For the GHA..
    Limit feeding
I would get a GFO reactor if not already running one.
Get a refugium or some sort of nutrient export... there's a variety of ways to do it. I run an algae turf scrubber.
    Frequent water changes.
If your PO4 test shows 0 don't believe it until the GHA actually starts to go away. It's never really 0. If you already have it don't expect it to go away overnight it could take months. I would just mainly get aggressive with the Phosphates.
