I have one O. Clown in my 20g, and the plan for tomorrow is to pick up another! I'm aware that there will be some territorial issues until they figure out which is dominant, but aside from that, is there any extra precautions I should take before introducing the new O. Clown?

how long has the one been in the tank?

I'd turn the lights out, and rearrange the rock work so the initial one's territory is changed up!

Also get a clown a little smaller than yours!

The 20g has only been set up about a month, and I just added a HUGE xenia and mushroom colony, will that be okay? My clown is the only fish I have, and I've had him since he was about 3/4 and inch long. he's somewhere between an inch and an inch and a half now. I've actually only been in the hobby a few months, and I didn't get him until about 3 months ago.

I would try to find the smallest clown possible. If the new clown has already changed to a female it cannot change back into a male and you will have a brawl on your hands.;)Cosmo gave you good advice I would definitely leave the lights off feed the resident clown while adding the new one.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Choose a clown around an inch long, in a tank with other clowns as long as the other clowns are healthy. Tiny clowns are prone to any number of diseases common to clown fish. Stress from acclimation and even mild bullying put them over the edge easily.
Get the one with the best coloration, clean and non tattered fins, clear eyes and eating in front of you.
Move a rock or 2 around if possible just prior to introduction, this will keep your current clown busy establishing a new territory.
If you really want to play it safe you can buy a cheap clear breeder box that hangs from the side of the tank and place the new clown in the breed box for a day.

    Good luck.
