    It almost tastes like grouper. Yummy. They are trying to get the local restaurants to start adding them to there menus. I have killed almost 500 of them around my local reef. When they reach the northern Atlantic, those fisheries will be in even worse shape then they are now.:(

    Agreed. I have never speared a fish in my life, but when you see the damage that these fish do its a no brainer.

    o yeah I remember this. If you go to the Georgia Aquarium they have a tank with TONS of lionfish from Florida and talk about the invasive species. For any of you freshwater people out there there is also an invasive species called the snakeheads.

    I wouldn't be able to spear it myself... but I'll happily wait for you to land it for me :)

    My "people" are fisherman.... you'd think I'd be hardened to it.

    If I could dip it in MS-222 and then eat it, I'm game!!!
