    I'd be concerned about the mix of gasses extracted from the water. Even a percent or two differance in oxygen levels makes a huge difference to your dive table. If you dive near a algae bloom, wouldn't the dissolved oxygen be a lot higher? Sounds like a trip to the decompression chamber just waiting to happen.

    Some guy in the 60's I believe came up with something that required a large membrain type apparatius to do this but it was to cumbersome to handle.
