    I have no idea what this is and I was hoping someone on the forum might have some ideas. It appeared on top of this arch about 2 weeks ago. It slowly around the rock but have never moved off of this rock, also, it moves only a few cm a day. At first I didn't realize that it was motile. It's also doubled in size since I spotted it.

    Looks kinda like a limpet to me too... hard to tell though.

    And Yes, limpets are very good. Herbivores, although slow, eat alot of nusicense algea.

    Thanks guys. Must have came in on live rock I guess and has taken him months to get to that spot.

    Good guys, algae eaters. May scratch acrylic however, or even chew on it. So provided you have a glass tank, no worries.
