Invert Quarantine?

    Im setting up a 10 gal QT on my back porch that will be totally bare with the exception of some PVC pipe and a cheapo, hang on the back, half arse filtration box. My questions are as follow:

    1. Do I need to throw inverts in the QT tank? Wild caught and LFS purchased? What about algae that Ive collected from the wild?

    2. How long do I add a new fish/algae/invert to the QT for?

    3. I was thinking of just automatically using a copper treatment in the QT just be safe. Obviously I would only do this with fish and not with inverts or algae. Is this a good idea?

    4. Finally (I swear!), what should the salinity be? Hypo or normal?
