What's wrong with serpent stars. I have one and it keeps to itself. Mind you there are some that ate not reef safe.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Oh Serpent stars are fine in large systems IMO.

I have known them to trap and kill sleeping fish, which they can do with amazing speed once they get the hang of it.

The way these things react when food touches the tank is scary. You can feed them until the cows come home but they are always looking for their next meal.

I've had just about every invert suggested here. I love fire shrimp and skunk shrimp. The problem with the pistol shrimp is that you hardly ever see them, although they are cool when you do. Same thing with sexy shrimp. I think they might get lost in that size aquarium. Coral banded shrimp can be aggressive as TheSaltwaterGuy said. I've also had A LOT of problems with true crabs. The biggest was my sally lightfoot who ate a few hundred dollars worth fish and inverts before I caught him. My emerald crabs killed some snails and a clam before I caught them as well. Banded serpent stars are okay, they may take out a snail here and there. I've had no problem with them in my 90, but green brittles are notorious hunters.
