Epaulettes are relatively small sharks and so are Bluespot Rays. I don't consider either species dangerous. The ray is NOTHING like the ray that ACCIDENTALLY killed Steve Irwin.

I'll likely put up a new story tomorrow. The new shop opens today (actually a pre-opening) so I'm informing people of new addresses and such.

not saying that is was dangerous but am not saying that its not dangerous either LOL ;D
on a side note I work In Georgia DOC ( deparment of corrections) and have seen many things that I concider alot more dangerous than that, heck in Panama City growing up we used to swim in the same water where there were 10-15 ft sharks and point in the water and say "they look cool LOL" ;D

Another sad story. Sorry in advance. If you read further, it's your choice.

Somehow my name got passed around. I got a call one day from Northern Arkansas. They said, "We heard you take sharks".
I said, "Ummm, NO. You heard wrong. I sell certain species of sharks to particular customers who are highly dedicated. In a couple of circumstances, I've accepted sharks for store credit. What's your issue???"
"We can't afford another aquarium and this guy is going to outgrow it VERY SOON".
"Well, I know a lot of people with very large shark aquariums who are very dedicated to these species. What species do you have and how big is it?"
"It's a nurse shark and it's about 8 feet long".
    :Looking:
"Ummmm, I'll see what I can do".

I contacted all of my shark customers. No Go. I reached out to some other contacts I had, including the location that had the bat ray. No Go. I contacted some other public aquariums (knowing ahead of time what the answer was going to be). No Go.

I had to call them back and tell them the news that no one wants this shark. I didn't bother to call them back in a couple of months asking about the shark because I already knew what the outcome would have been.
