iPhone 5... Who got it?

i figure i will just wait a few months until the iphone 6 comes out! LOL

 

Maybe look into getting a refurbished one, but there likely won't be another price drop. Apple always lowers the prices of previous models by about 25% - $50% then the new phone takes the place of the highest price one, which is what they've already done.

Used to own 3g and 3gs with AT&T. Now I'm on Galaxy SII + AT&T corporate. Can't wait to dump AT&T and get S3 from T-mobile. Wifi calling is amazing feature, I'm not paying $200 for a damn Microcell.:

 

Haha, I love how the haters and lovers flock to these discussions. My few talking points:

- Apple realizes that there is such a thing as too big of a display. This is evident in their choice to keep the same width. Granted, some want bigger, and that is why there are choices!

- I laugh every time a hater argues the S3 or whatever is better/faster/bigger, because they are 100% true, from a hardware perspective. Apple focuses on the end-to-end user experience (and customer service). This is more evident in the iPad than anything else. Samsung and Sony both have more powerful tablets, but are getting slaughtered.

- I've noticed that Apple has changed from a visionary company to a reactionary company, especialy in regards to the iPhone... very disappointing. It will be interesting to see what the unviel at their "big" event in a month or so.

Anyway, I'm not a gushing Apple fan, these are just observations. I'm just so invested in the app store that it would be prohibitivly expensive for me to switch to an Andriod phone....

I reserved mine at the Naval Exchange where I live yesterday, one of the perks for being military I will be picking mine up the day it comes out at 9 in the AM, no lines no fuss. Cant wait!

 

Tim Cook is no Steve Jobs. There were bound to be cultural changes at Apple.

You probably won't need to wait for a month to know what they are unveiling. Jobs was crazy secretive about product unveilings, the new Apple seems to be fine with announcing them in advance.

 

I just updated my account and my fiancee and I were both ready to upgrade. I pre ordered the Iphone 5 but she was sold on the Galaxy 3. I must say that Galaxy 3 is a pretty insane phone, I'm hoping I made the right choice... :-/

 

I think you both made great decisions... It will be a disadvantage not having both android or both iOS phones, as you could share more features... Ie, FaceTime, music, calendars, contacts, etc...

Still, both are top of the line phones! Just remind her that the galaxy 4 comes out in February, so hers will be obsolete sooner
