CA reactor is online, picked up a 5# co2 canister in town for $80 including fillup so not to shabby, place called high gravity (beer and wine making place)

Effluent PH is around 6.5 atm, I set the Ph controller to 6.4 so we'll see how this works

Also fixed the leak, was just some media I missed around the o-ring

Ok now I'm PO'd This god forsaken CA reactor is doomed to end up a $500 dust collecter as now the pump appears to be dead, all it does is make loud clicks and doesn't move any water at all......

Sounds like an impeller issue. have you checked it internally?

not yet I was just home for lunch and noticed the noise, damn thing only has about 8 hours of use on it though..

Already on a new impeller housing (that was my fault I cracked the original one) just frustrating this thing has been nothing but a pain in my ass so far

yeah so Just talked to Danner and MRC, Danner told me to pull the impeller, leave the housing off. Then plug the pump in for a few seconds and hold the impeller next to it, if you notice the impeller vibrating or shaking in your hands then the impeller is bad

MRC recommended buying a new mannifold and using the panworld 10 pump, but I'm going to try and get this working with the mag drive, mainly cause I'm way over budget at this point on getting this thing running and throwing more money at fixing an issue with a brand new setup isnt an option right now

Man I feel for you Iraf. Nothing worse than trying to make ground and going backwards. Especially with new equipment. Hang in there man you'll get it figured out and it will be awesome. You've done a great job so far.

yeah, on a better note ford just debuted the new mustang and OMG I want one now... gotta wait till the 2014 50th anniversery cars are out though so I can have the 25th and 50th both :)

Lady from Danner was very nice though, told me to try that stuff, then call her tomorrow and she'll send me out a replacement pump if thats the issue, no cost at all since it's all new equipment

and on another good note, my LFS is alot cooler than I thought, the Flame fin tang I have on hold there, apparently made good buddies with a scopas tang, and the owner now refuses to seperate the pair, since I pre-paid for the flame fin he's just giving me the scopas as well :)

EH, It's not the reactor's fault, just got a crappy pump, it happens first time I've ever had a problem with a danner product within the first 3 years so I'll toss them a bone on this one, their support has been good so far so it'll get fixed good thing is the tank is still cycling so there is really no need to have the calc reactor going atm anyway except just to get it dialed in just right
