Relax dude, hurricanes in the Carolina's aren't a big secret. I'd lived in hurricane areas my entire life, and have been through many. I was in Key West on the second floor of a hundred year old pine conch house during Wilma. It reduced our marina to toothpicks. We all lost months of income, plus I lost my Jeep Cherokee.

All you can do is make lite of a dire situation.

My parents were forced to evacuate in NJ, and my mom is pissed that she can't go to the beach and watch the storm come in. Maybe the property will be beach front after the storm hits.

Good luck man. I'm not looking forward to Sunday at all. Looks like it will be smack dab right on top of my house here in South Jersey in about 36 hours. Stopped by the supermarket and Costco to stock up on some stuff early this morning. Things are pretty hectic and a lot of the essentials like batteries, generators and water are now sold out.

I filled up the gas tank in my car and will have a little 150W cigarette lighter inverter with an extension cord running 1 or two small powerheads and an air pump to keep the tank alive. I'm guessing I will be out of power for at least a full day. I would be surprised if its any less than that.. ugh.:bigcry:

OK all is lashed down water of all kinds sitting around, generators, first aid supplies, flash lights and so forth, ;) I reset the rain gauge to get rain storm total there saying maybe 15 inches, i also reset the wind gauge to get max wind gust here at my house. 8)

    :ears: :rifle:

starting to get a little rain from the outer bands already and expect to have some wind by morning.
