is 1 of these lights ok for mushroom coral and zoan??

    i just put a mushroom and small zoa frag into my ten gallon with stock lighting, well see what happens. ill let you know.

    For my 55, I had a T8 40W powerGLO and a T8 40W marineGLO for a while and kept mushroom, zoa in it. It seems there is no problem keeping them alive, but just not optimum for their growth and coloration.

    Just my 2cents.

    t5 x 4 bulbs lighting is what you need either that or a 4 bulb power compact fixture.

    t5 bulbs last longer and have more bulbs available. and run cooler. can grow harder corals
    pc bulbs are ok for softies and LPS though.

    halides are the cadillacs, but might want a clip on or hanging pendant as heat can be a issue.. but K+ for making the leap, quickly! :)
