I can get a used 55gal white food grade barrel for no charge. They have had hand soap in them.

Would this be OK for RODI storage, if it was rinsed several times and then let a few tanks of water soak and drain, etc. a few times.

Think this is OK or is it too risky.

    I would do it.

I'd dump a couple gallons of white vinegar in there, fill them with tap water and let them sit for a couple days before rinsing them out a few times if it were me. But I'd do it.

I agree with reefmonkey! and after you get that all done, just do some test on the water. TDS meter, and maybe phosphate because of the soap?!?!

Thanks... I can test it for sure. It is a closed barrel with 2 holes on top. I would like to figure out how to put a bulkhead fitting and valve on the bottom. Hard to do since I can't reach in the barrel. I may just have to use a small pump and hose which I really do not want to do.
