every time i move the live rock around my sixline wrasse hides in the sand. im worried that since i cant see him i might set a rock on him. is it possible to crush a wrasse while moving live rock when its in the sand?

To avoid having this happening, simply brush the sand aside below the points on which the liverock will be sitting. This way, if your wrasse is there, it will be moved. Your aquascaping will be much more secure (especially if you have an engineer goby...) and you'll avoid pinning down your wrasse between the bottom of your tank and your LR.

Why are you moving your LR around??? That only causes stress in the tank along with the containments from your hands and arms.

catching hawkfish thats harrassing my sixline im moving him to my big tank let him try to mess with the wrasse in there its 3 times his size. also im not too worried about the contaminating the tank unless ive been using chemicals of some kind. i always think people that dont stick there hands in the tank are just paranoid.
