    Building Coiled Denitrator.
I bought 4" x 2' piece of ABS which holds most off 100' roll of 1/4" tubing.
But tried to Google ABS and got mixed answers on it's safety.

Anybody using it or had trouble with ABS ?

    Thanks

You shouldn't have a problem with the ABS pipe. Finely ground ABS is used in si\ome tattoo inks & they also use it to make Legos. If it was toxic you can bet it wouldn't be in those products.

I dont know If I am because they say in home plumbing books that ABS can get brittle and crack, I am personally going to stay w/ PVC or PEX ( a bendible tubing that is really cool. to connect it to something else you put this "gun/strecher thing" that streches the diameter of the tubing and you slide it over the connection and it streches back for a SUPER tight connection!

Like with aquarium books don't belive all you read about what can happen.. ABS was approved for my trades use in about 1970 as I recall ? I remember all the old school plumbers say it won't last LOL Now it will bow and flex if its exposed to the sun or heat source But thats on long runs. Like up the side of a old house to serve as a main vent. So the codes limited it use to less then 3 ft above the roof line. In a coil it will be fine as PVC. Those who can do Teach and those who can't teach write books Like Bob Villa or what ever his name is. The building Expert :) And those who can't write become inspectors .

Its those that can do, do. Those that can't, teach. Those that can't teach, write. The illiterate become inspectors and go by the books written by the ones who can't do nor teach.
