I just got this beast from a guy on a trade. I don't know anything about it, or how to set it up. It has two pvc pipes near the top, and one near the base. ????? I was told I need a pump for it, don't know what to get......Can I set it up as a hang on or?/?

Its a great skimmer I have one myself back home in Richmond , The 3/4 inlet on the base you see two slots that screws out they send a blast T looking key but I doubt you have that ? Use a wide blade screwdriver or a Coin like a Quarter Thats the injector cone check to see thats O.K ? Thats usually the problem and why so many give them up that will wear out and not make good foam.. The two 3/4 opening at the top under the collection cup are the outlet they have to be unobstructed at all times they can be piped downward the sump I always ran them to a container for carbon and floss free mechanical filtration . They need a Mag 9.5 pump at least . But not any better skimmer around in its class want to sell it ?

Make me an offer.....I would rather buy a new skimmer with instructions and have what it needs. So I don't have to figure it out. I know they go for $190. before shipping. All I see attached to it are two PVC pipes with elbows on them pointing down for the top two outlet holes under the collection cup. Then one PVC pipe that comes straight out near the base. It looks to be in great condition. The guy says it worked great but decided to get some exspensive setup for his tank.
