Is anyone waiting to buy the RB Supernova ?

I just recently set my 55 tall tank up & I don't have any corals yet. Tank only has pc's right now that are ready to be changed out. But I seen RB has a new improved light coming out within next few months. I'm debating to just go ahead & order the 24" photon light or just wait it out. The supernova is considerably more than the one I'm looking at. But from what there sight says, it sounds improved & to be much better. Everyone talks great about there RB lights, so I'm just wondering if others are holding off to buy a light until this new one comes out. I'd hate to wait for it & find out that they didn't build the light as they planned.

 

Expect delays, and for it to be at least 2-3 months away. If you need a light now, don't wait. I've been building a DIY light for my tank that does almost the same things (except its not wireless), and it has taken me months to put together due to its complexity.

 

It's not so much the waiting part cause I'm still waiting on my live rock. It's supposed to get it tonight hopefully. Some guy downsized his tank recently & has kept it in tubs under mh's & with water flow. So hopefully a short cycle. I'd be more upset for waiting & finding out this light isn't gonna be as advertised. It's supposed to come with the Cree LEDs & have 8 settings & be a lil less tall. Does anyone know if they have changed the plans yet?

 

I just found the RB thread from a few weeks ago & it seems like its on track still. I guess I'll just have to think this one over if I wanna wait or buy one now.
