is carbon ok with lps and soft corals

i have a big bag of carbon i discovered and is it good to put in my filtration system

 

anyone???

 

Allot of people run it 24 7 and other will run it for a month and then stop for a month and go on for month and you get where im going. I run it 24/7 in my 150 fresh and in my 220 salt

 

so its cool to put it in should i wash it if so and in what

 

Sometimes you wont get an answer in 8 minutes on a forum but you will get great advise. Paitience young grashopper

 

you do need to rince it I use ro/di water and recomend that. If you dont then you can burn the fish in the tank so rince it and then put it in.

 

im washing a couple carbon pillows as we speak.

 

you will notice if you dont wash it before you put it in, your tank will start to become sort of cloudy
but with a grey tint
thats why you wash it to get rid of all the small well i guess carbon "dust" you could say

 

I also run it 24/7 and make sure to wash it before hand.
