Is Halloween Hermit eating my newly acquired Green Acro?

good move. crabs=cheap / sps corals=not cheap

 

That SOB got vanished to the sump. I turned my light on 2 hours ago and everything was fine. I went to check on him and not only he's there again, this time he took chunks off 4 out my 5 acros! I got very mad. Lots of damage was done and I hope my light will be enough for them to recover

So.... if anybody was wondering about Halloween crabs being reef safe or not.... in MY specific case, he loved to eat my acroporas.

That's not my individual Halloween hermit. I pulled that pic of the web for ID purposes for the readers.

But my hermit looks just like him, with the same shell shape and everything. They seem to like that type of shell maybe.

 

Here are the pics, before and after the crab attack. Mind you I had to move all my acro frags to the top of the tank on the higher rock so they would get better light, and these pictures were (unfortunately) taken with and without lights on, so color will vary, but I wanted to focus on the damage, specially on the tips:
