    Hello all!

First post here and I'm asking the gurus.

We're running a 29 gal tank that's currently cycling. We purchased 30 lbs of cured Fiji and 6 lbs of cured Tongan from our LFS. We've already noticed a bunch of hitchikers (6 feathers, 2 stomatellas, brittle star, etc). There is one critter in our tank, however, that we've yet been able to identify. This is as good of a shot I can get with our DSLR since I haven't mastered the macro function on it yet.

A little about this critter: it's about half an inch tall, has a purple soft stalk-like body with orange fleshy bits that come out when the light is on.

Upon ridding some apstasia right above it with apstasia-x, I accidentally squirted some near this little guy. When I was removing the excess apstasia-x, I accidentally touched this guy and he "wheezed the juice" so to speak, letting out a steam of orange liquid.

Any help will be helpful indeed!

Yep, it's a bit blurry. Do the "orange bits" look like these at all?

The "orange bits" tend to look a bit more like the ones on this coral:

Unfortunately, it'll have to wait until my macro lens comes in later this week. My DSLR can only focus at a minimum of 1.3ft.

    Sorry bout that!
