My elegance coral hasn't really opened the past couple days. I've been trying to squeeze some food in there hoping it would help. I just did a water change also hoping it would help but its completely closed with a froathie looking residue on it. Safe to say its dead and I should pull it right?

I would pull it out. Those are sensitive corals.

I always hate pulling them when I am not absolutely sure they are dead. You want to give them every chance but dont want them to contaminate your tank.

Do you have a picture? The residue doesn't sound good, but tough to guess without seeing it. They are not really too sensitive IMO although, they do not tend to like high flow. Otherwise, they are pretty easy. However, they seem to be prone to a disease that is highly contagious and 100% fatal. Is it like this? If so, I'd probably get rid of it, otherwise, it may just be something environmental and the problem can be fixed?
