    How can you tell the difference? It looks like glass on the outer corners & it seems to scratch (sounds like it) when I use the magnetic cleaners. Should I use a different magnetic cleaner?

    Acrylic is a lot lighter. Can you post a pic? Got a brand name?

    are you using a towel and algae pads on the magnets surfaces? sometimes new magnets will make that "squeeking" voice if u're not using a towel and algae pad along with the magnet.
