is it going to be ok?

i fragged these from my dads tank about a little over two weeks ago. How long do they usually take to open up?

also does anyone know the name of these? my dad forgot the specific name

 

looks like palys and they look fine to me

 

i moved them from fluorescent to MH and they are only opening this far... how long does a typical adjustment take

 

put them on the bottom to adjust to the new light.

. . . and there only half opening according to you. Try moving them lower to see if it helps.

palys are very hardy they will be fine ive had palys close for a while before its actually semi normal esp for your situation,leave them be as long as they are not melting no need to worry
