I'm getting an insane amount o microbubbles right now and can't get it under control, it's stressing me and my fish out. I'll be ordering a filter sock tomorrow or friday to catch the bubbles.

Is it ok for the skimmer to be off for a few days? It's just two fish, i will be getting my clean up crew on friday and plan on getting my first coral on saturday or sunday. Also it's the octopus bh 800s skimmer.

I honestly believe right now it's best for the fish to have the skimmer off because of all the bubbles

is no filteration worse than having a million bubbles hit the fish?

Maybe there is a reason for these bubbles?

    +1 - Don't turn it off.

maybe face a powerhead toward the skimmer outlet facing up forcing the bubbles to break the surface .if that makes sense

i've had the skimmer running for 2 months now. I've had the collection cup high, now i've lowered it to see if it will do anything. I guess i will let it sit for the rest of the night, i'm still going to buy the filter sock, i was just hoping i could do something to stop the bubbles until i can get one
