I would agree, BUT wait 24 hours for it to cure before adding water, it will if you add water too soon either compromise the seal or more importantly leech chemicals into the water.

    Good luck

I've always used any of the available 100% silicone for any aquarium (glass) projects. Why buy a tiny tube of it labeled "aquarium silicone" for 20 bucks when you can buy a caulk gun sized tube for 5 bucks? Same stuff either way. For aquariums, I would wait at least 48 hours before putting water in. Better safe than flooded...lol

I even silly-coned some acrylic to glass in my fuge. Worked just fine. I wouldn't trust that with an outside seal, but for parts within the sump it works fine.

You are a better man than I, I would never glue acrylic to glass, not even if it was inside the tank. That usually doesnt work out well. Luna

Just make sure there is NO anti-mold agents in it. I've used GEII

Yes 100% silicone with no anti mold agents in it is the stuff you want to use.
