    Is it safe to run a 150 watt MH bulb with 2 t5 14 watt actinics in a 175 watt ballast? will it affect anything? the penant originally came with a 150 watt ballast... i needa know because i caught a deal, the icecap® ballast went from 140 to 84 and i dont know when its going to end so i wanna get it asap. tell me if its ok!

    It would really shorten the life of your bulb. IF, and I do say IF there wasn't a catastrophic failure.

    You could however just upgrade to a 175 base (the 175 is bigger than the 150) and get a new bulb as well. assuming we are talking mogul, not DE
