too be honest, the upgrade isn't worth the extra debt. Hang on and only purchase what you really have to or fall in love with :p

get out of debt and get the tank you really want. It'll pay of in the long run to do it right once than to have several attempts at it...

    but just m2c

I would wait on an upgrade unless it is to a 75g. Though it is more of personal preference I wouldn't feel it to be worth the effort for 14g

Hey ya', girl! I think the upgrade would be awesome... but is it really worth the money you will have to put into it? If it were a 75 or 90g, then I would encourage you but think about how much you can spend.... besides I LOVE your tank the way it is. I know all of us always want to go bigger (easier to maintain too) but let your rationality rule over the impulse of buying it. If you can afford it, then go for it!!! But otherwise ... if I were you... I would wait a while until you can get an even bigger tank!

Since they are taking your tank in trade they shouldn't be charging you too much for the tank itself as it's only a bit larger.

Your skimmer won't need an upgrade as your new one is rated for 100 gallons. Your light will do for a while...where you place corals will be key as well as the depth of the tank, the 46g is really rather tall so if the 60 is the same depth or shorter you'll be fine with your current lights.

The skimmer can be a HOB on the sump as well then all you need have in your DT is the overflow box and a return line. So all in all I'd say if they don't charge you that much for the 60 then is worth the extra space in the DT and if the stand is built in such a way that you can have a sump then it's a good deal and you can reuse the 20 for a sump so it'll decrease your expenditures on the upgrade.

That said if you do upgrade...
You'll be summarily kicked out of the Bow Front Club :D LOL

id take the other suggestions and not upgrade for 14gal. the hassle to migrate everything and the new costs incurred will outweigh the positives....

im also in agreement that if it were a 30+gal differential it'd be a different story, but with that also comes more out of pocket investment....

so in short, id stick with what you have

Upgrade your new skimmer will suffice in the new tank so you will only need new lights. You will be able to make due with your current light if it doesn't go with the 46.
