is kosher salt kosher?

    seeing as i am a cheap sob i was wondering, if i have kosher salt that says it was harvested by the evaporation of natural salt water is that safe to use for aquarium salt?

    I wouldn't use it. Who knows what kind of processing is used.

    i've always wondered why they don't sell evaporated salt.i would think it would have the perfect amount of everything in it,just add water.but since its not already being done there must be a reason.

    I would have to agree with Mission, not to mention, all the salt mixes must must have added minerals and T elements. Luna

    They do/did ? I guess its still available ? Red sea mix it was from Israel totally dehydrated ocean salt from ocean water.
