It took my BTA about a week to find a home, and when he did it was under a rock in the back hidden, in the dark. My friend gave me a huge coral on a huge rock, so I had to move my tank rocks around, and in the process, I turned my BTA's rock over...so he would be exposed...I didn't pull him off the rock...I got it a clown fish thinking it might be happier...and normally he opens has bulbous tips, but he isn't always huge, like he was at the store. He goes through cycles of inflating deflating, etc...but I'm worried...he's fed, what floats to him, brine shrimp, cyclofreeze, etc...but it gets about 1/4 a piece of krill a week. And it eats it...it takes awhile but it eats it.

    Here's a pic...let me know your thoughts...

Unless it has pooped recently, I believe it is dying.

Every so often...but the BTA is bleached and his mouth is gaping more than it normally would when it exchanges water. Unfortunately, I have killed my fair share...

What type of light are you running? How many bulbs and how many watts per bulb as well as how long.

I had the same lighting setup, until recently when I deceided my tank needed a clam, and my Rose BTA did fine. They do lose the deep pink colors under that much light but it was healthy and happy for over 6 months under 4 T5s. (ill admit its alot more appealing under new lights where the colors came back)

my BTA tends to look like its dying 1-2 times a week, but the next morning its always back to normal.
