Is my glass cover disrupting my PAR

    +1 Same here. I've had one tank that I ran without a glass cover or full hood for a few months; the only differences I experienced was higher evaporation rate and more fish on the floor.

    Glad Im not alone seems most reefers despise the idea of a glass lid, just have to keep it nice and clean and make sure its not air tight :)

    i noticed a HUGE differance in coral growth with and with out my lid it was a used tank and i couldnt ever get it 100% clean i cleaned it with every waterchange 2xmonth but got sick of cleaning so i just quit using it...

    only thing i've lost on the floor was one turbo snail crazy guy but he didn't actually die found him the next morning threw him in and he was good to go...

    +1 on egg crate or screen/net type to keep the jumpers in...
