is my green mushroom reproducing?

    my mushroom seems to be splitting. i read about longitudinal fission in mushrooms. could this be? is my reef growing?? man i hope so. if anyone knows about this please clue me in.

    Mushrooms do split in order to reproduce...sometimes more often than you want them to. :)

    Mushrooms mostly leave tissue behind which then becomes a newly born mushroom. Mushrooms also split, but the first method I mentioned is more common.

    Definitely do longitudinal fussion(mushrooms)! And with the proper water parameters etc., mushrooms are able to reproduce frequently.
