Is my horseshoe crab dead or did it molt?!

    Ever since I got him i've only seen him come out once from the sand and that was because I was stirring it up and found his shell sticking out from the sand..

    However, I was just doing some cleaning in the tank and notice his shell under a rock and he appears to be dead..

    I lifted him up from the bottom and I can't tell if that's him dead or if that's just his molted shell?

    Anyone want to chime in? Here's a pic..

    totally molt. There is much to to him than that, even if he's been dead for weeks.

    see how clear he is? horshoe crabs die and turn brown, hes soo clear it has to be a molt.

    congrats! he GREW! lol
