I recently acquired a Toad Stoll Leather from my LFS (about five days ago). Its not looking so hot currently and progressively getting worse looking. Since I added it to my tank I saw it open once. It seems to be melting but im not sure. I don’t want to pull it out prematurely or leave it in to long if its truly dead. I have heard they can take awhile to snap out of it after a move but, it doesn’t seem normal. Hopefully the pictures will help.

Its hard to say from your photos... Pick it up and put in a bowl of water and shake it gently to see if the flesh is coming off of it.

from what I've been reading about toadstools is, cut off the dead looking stuff, do an iodine wash and put it back in the tank. Add more carbon too.......do a small water change cause it's probably put out a lot of toxins

wow where did all that come from:shocked3::idea2::smart::dizzy2:

if you have any sps in the tank this will cause havoc. play a close eye on this, its hard to tell if its in shock or dying. in the meantime do a lugols solution mix for 10-15 minutes, this will rid it of the bad bacteria. good luck
