That's exactly what's keeping me from getting a 36in fixture since my next tank will be at least 48in long

Well I took the plunge and the TEK light arrived last night.

I have to say it's an awesome set up.

Very nice build quality. I like the soft plastic over the switches.

The suspension cabling is very well done, everything locks into place. I feel totally pleased.

The coral that I bought on sunday (stra polyp) was out to a minimum Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, but last night on Wednesday a few minutes after installing that light it popped out nicely, and this morning it's looking great. All that's lest is getting my water chemistry, as far as calcium, right.

I'll tell you the $400 was harsh, but the light is very, very nice! I got the suspension set as well. Phenomenal!

I moved from the 30" long 29 gal to a 55gal @ 48" long. I think I'm gonna sit with this tank for a while too. I dropped the light on top and the light distributes just fine!

In any case, I have my rock formation in a triangular pattern anyways, so it's all good right now. Just this morning, Monday, I wired in some Lunar lights, stuck them in the rim of my tank itself.it all looks discreet and nice.
