Urgent is my mushroom sick

My hairy mushroom has like white goo coming out of the middle of it.Look like we had new mushroom growth and it disappeared over night.

It maybe just exposing its guts, I have had mine do it and come out of it just fine.

shrooms are pretty tough its probably just expelling waste or exposing its guts. mine do it from time to time. i wouldnt worry. shrooms are very hard to kill

 

One of mine did that when I first got it. Two weeks later it doubled it's size.

 

both my cool guy shrooms did that after acclimation and are doing great

 

Without pics it's tough to say for sure... Sounds like everyone is about right on exposing it's guts. This usually happens when they are irritated. Could be getting used to the tank, or something was added they did not like. Way back when, after putting my first mushroom in my first tank, the lfs said I should dose something to balance ph. It was a powder, and I just measured and powdered it into the tank. I know stupid, but I did not know better then. The mushrooms all did this because they were irritated by the powder.
