And no you're not cycled. I see you keep asking that which means you're anxious to add fish. Trust me, not yet. Especially with your pH where it is.

Sorry, but no. This is a bad idea too because down the road you probably won't want those Damsels because those fish get mean and extraordinarily territorial. They don't just attack other fish that are like them, they attack ALL other fish once they have established the tank as "theirs."

There are a few exceptions to this, but just do the shrimp thing and wait another month. I wouldn't even test again for another 3 weeks. Patience or an empty bank account. Your choice.

True. But the problem with that is then you have to take out all your rocks in order to do so. Maybe in this case it would be ok since they want to do a FOWLR anyways, but not if you have your aquascaping setup in a way you like it. It will never be the same no matter what. Besides, that's an awful lot of disturbance to a newly cycled tank just for a couple of little s**t $5 Damsels.

x2. Your pH is really low. Check your salinity.. Also did you use tap water?

You're going to want to use RO water from now on. Your LFSs should sell it if you don't want to invest in an RO/DI unit just now. Plus you're doing FOWLR so that's ok.

But you still need to get your pH up. What kind of salt did you use? I'm surprised your pH is so low. Maybe your salt was a bad batch?
