    ok i set up my tank almost 2 weeks ago i have brown algae and a little bit of green hair algae but my test kit says that my amonia nitrite and nitrate are all at zero what is going on is my testing kit expired plz help???????

    Your cycle may not have started yet. What did you put in the tank when you set it up? Live rock? Live sand?

    Also the GHA etc could be consuming the nutrients.. hence why the are not showing up on your kit.

    Please tell me you arent running your lights during cycle... if so.. turn them off.. should help with your algae issue.. then should start getting readings

    its a 48 gallon tank with 30+ pounds of live rock 40 pounds of live sand it also already has 2 fish in it wich i added like 4 days ofter i set it up to help it cycle and i am running my lights but the cleaning crew took care of the algea and my testing kit Saltwater Master Liquid Test Kit at PETCO
