Is plastic ok?

    it would have to be rigid enough. acrylic is pretty much plastic so if you get some nicce thick plastic i dont see why you couldnt

    I wouldn't use just any old plastic. Acrylic would be my first choice.

    plus one, you dont know what kind of fumes plastic will put in yout tank, but you can buy sheets of acrylic for pretty cheap.

    Won't acrylic expand and contract depending on how much your water changes.

    acrylic is what is always used for a sump, it will not change.

    Here is mine with acrylic baffles. OF to skimmer with a T at the bottom to the fuge both emptying into the center return with a Rio+ 1700 pump. This is just before it went online 6mos ago and no problems at all since Hope this helps.;)
