I just bought this royal gramma at my lfs, and ever since i put it in, it just stays behind my overflow pinned between the overflow, and the glass. But he is not stuck and he has been like that for about a hour and a half.
    Any ideas? Is this normal?
    Thanks

Yes, they are very shy at first but will become more bold as time goes on.

    can be like that Jeffers0n

its probably a bit scared in the new enviroment, and hiding to make sure it cant be eaten

it should hopefully gain confidence very soon

are there other fish in the tank?

This happens very often with new fish. It could take up to 2 weeks for a fish to fully acclimate. Sometimes it just takes time. Good Luck! :)

Turn off the lights for the rest of the day, it will not harm anything and will allow the gramma to relax some.

My Grama used to swim around alot. Than for no reason disappeared for about 2 weeks. I thought it had died and a crab ate it. Then it reappeared in a whole in a rock and now that is where it stays only coming out to eat.
    They are kinda weird.

Yes, it's normal. Mine stayed hidden in my live rock for about three weeks. Since then he's always swimming around the tank. Just give him some time.
